Blood Covenant

Sinuous, bruised, and dripping, the three dress fragments of Blood Covenant invite morbid fascination. Ripples of patterned fabric and worn lace echo crinkled skin and fleshy bodily forms, while necklines and sleeves yawn vacantly. Meanwhile, luminous translucency, rendered in layered watercolor and gouache, lets the work breathe and float. Blood Covenant is a reckoning with absence and a call to reminiscence.

Residual Colonies
Hand me Down
In Search of Young Stars

Ruptured systems gather into uneasy proximity in Residual Colonies. Above, a porous mass of decolonized coral hovers with tenuous fragility. Below, clustered hexagonal chambers hollow and fracture. In the center, a tangled burst of branching filaments alludes to invasive colonization. This is a record of occupation without presence, a neural network attempting to rewire itself without a center of intelligence. The suggestion of habitation lingers, but the community is absent. Residual Colonies dwells in a state of uncertainty, where external and internal forces attempt to reconcile.
